Roll-Up Door Brush & Weather Seals
Integrated Sealing Features for RollCor Roll-Up Doors
Brush and weather seals are available as integrated features of Rollcor roll-up door systems, designed to help limit air movement, light infiltration, precipitation and pests at the door header and jambs. Installed as part of the overall door assembly, these sealing options support improved performance while maintaining smooth, reliable door operation.
Designed to work in coordination with the door curtain and guide system, RollCor’s brush and weather seals contribute to a more complete roll-up door solution for a wide range of applications.
Why Include Brush or Weather Seals
Brush and weather seal features are often selected for roll-up doors installed in environments where improved separation between spaces is desired. When included, these seals can help:
- Reduce air movement through the door opening (important for climate-controlled buildings)
- Limit dust, debris, pests, precipitation and light infiltration
- Support cleaner interior conditions
- Enhance overall door performance in exposed areas
Sealing features are designed to complement the roll-up door without impacting its compact design or ease of operation.
Brush/Weather Seal Features
Header Brush Seal
The header brush seal and retainer come in 10ft lengths that can be cut down to size. It is designed with a 3” straight brush and a 2” straight aluminum retainer. The header brush closes off the gap between your door header and the door curtain. It is fastened directly to the door opening header. (Standard accessory on an insulated door package).
Jamb Brush Seal
The jamb brush seal comes in 8ft lengths and can be cut down to size. It is designed with a 2” straight brush and a 1.5” aluminum retainer on a 135-degree angle. The brush design ensures a tight seal to the corrugated door curtain profile. It is fastened directly to the door opening jamb. (Standard accessory on an insulated door package).
Rubber Header Seal
The rubber header seal provides a similar solution to the header brush sealing (closing off the gap between the door header and door curtain). The rubber seal is 2.5” deep and runs the full width of the door. The rubber seal can be fastened to the door header or the door curtain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to purchase seals separately, or are they included with my door?
While seals can be added to any RollCor system, they are included as a standard accessory with our insulated door package. For non-insulated doors, they are highly recommended as an add-on for any exterior-facing opening or climate-controlled interior space.
What is the main difference between the Header Brush and the Rubber Header Seal?
Both serve to close the gap between the header and the door curtain. The Header Brush uses 3” bristles to create a flexible barrier that is excellent for blocking light, dust, and pests. The Rubber Header Seal is a solid 2.5” deep barrier that can be mounted to either the header or the curtain itself, offering a different style of contact that some users prefer for specific weather conditions.
How does the Jamb Brush Seal handle the "wavy" profile of a corrugated door?
Our Jamb Brush is specifically engineered with a 1.5” aluminum retainer set at a 135-degree angle. This specific geometry allows the 2” brush bristles to flex and stay in constant contact with the corrugated peaks and valleys of the curtain as it moves, ensuring a tight seal that flat seals simply can’t provide.
Will adding seals make the door harder to open or close?
No. RollCor seals are designed to work in coordination with the door’s movement. Because they use high-quality bristles and flexible rubber, they provide the necessary environmental separation without adding significant friction or impacting the smooth, easy operation of the door.
Can these seals be cut to fit a custom-sized door opening?
Yes. Our Header Brushes come in 10ft lengths and Jamb Brushes in 8ft lengths. Both are designed to be easily cut down on-site to match the exact dimensions of your custom door opening (up to 10’ x 10’), ensuring a perfect, gap-free fit.
Can these seals help reduce my energy costs?
Absolutely. By significantly reducing air movement through the header and jamb gaps, these seals help maintain the internal temperature of climate-controlled buildings. This reduces the workload on your HVAC system and helps prevent “hot spots” or drafts near the door opening.
